Labor Day

I know this is a bit late but I haven't had any pictures to blog with and it's kinda boring if you don't include any. For Labor Day Finau & I went with the Tonga Family to Kakela Beach. It was nice to have a little break before finals started. Which I just have to add I got an A in my Business Class and a B in my Astronomy Class!! Woohooo!!! Finau loved watching all the people and going swimming. Here are some shots of the kids and some of the activities they did.

Finau's first sleepover

Finau is currently having his first sleepover. It's 11:45 p.m. but I'm too nervous about him being over there to even sleep. I should put up a picture of him with the kids that he's partying with but I don't have one right now. So while Finau is off partying like a rockstar Filipo is stuck on the side of the road somewhere trying to get their dead car to run. A few of the boys are getting married so the tofisa boys decided to go clubbing lol...I think they're just going to eat and just 'eva around waikiki so I'm home alone! Anyway just wanted mum & dad to know about that. Hope you all are enjoying the beach house in Nags Head! I wish I could be there. Maybe you can start Finau's t-shirt collection now mum!! Ok I'm gonna go mohe already cos I am so dead tired and I just got done eating & partying with the people that Finau is having a sleepover with so I'm even more tired than I was before. Tomorrow we're going to waterpark!!!!!!!! Finally a reward for all those late nights Filipo had to spend at work!! Look out for pictures tomorrow!

Finau the little explorer

Well a few weeks ago one of the ladies I work with was watching Finau & she said he was crawling but he still hadn't crawled at home. Then we went over there for dinner and we were all watching a movie so I put Finau down and next thing we know he was across the room but no one saw him move. There's a Tongan family that watches Finau a lot and they said he is always crawling at their house. Finally yesterday I saw him crawl! I got a couple videos of him but it's not very long because after a short crawl across the room he needs his rest already lol....but it's good because two days ago he was having an asthma attack for two hours and I had no idea. He was crying and wouldn't stop and his chest was going crazy so finally when I took him to our friend she told me he was having an asthma attack and she put him on the breathing machine and got him calmed down. Now he's crawling and exploring everything. His favorite thing to do is go under the table and take all the DVDs off of the shelves that are under there. Poor Soni followed him around and cleaned up all his messes last nite. Soni's one of the kids of the tongan family that watches Finau. He's like a big brother to Finau. He always plays outside with him and his toys and shares his food with Finau (not always a good thing but it's the thought that counts) and he always spends about half the time they're together kissing him lol....

Three Houses Down

On Friday there was a concert here at school. It was a Reggae Group from OTARA, NZ made up of Tongans. They're called THREE HOUSES DOWN cos they live three houses down from where they formed their group and from where they live now. Anyway honestly I had never heard of them. I remember once when I first got here and made friends with Keti she went on Planet Tonga and found pics of her mum at one of their concerts but I didn't really look into who they were then and just forgot about them. I'm actually kind of surprised I hadn't heard about them more because everybody's always playing reggae music non stop over here. Anyway the concert was fun, we all had a good time just enjoying the music & getting outta "temple view" lol...I was luvin their NZ references all nite...

During the concert our friends came and got Finau and they were the first ones to run to the band after the concert. The guys were really nice they stayed for ages signing autographs and taking pics. We were all so eager to get pics with them but honestly we didn't even know who they were it was so funny. So after I went with some of my friends to go shopping and cruise around. When we went to take one of the girls home 3HD was at her house having a feed. Her aunty invited us over and we kicked it with them for a few hours. Now TONGA VAEA is our BFF!!! They're really nice dudes, just chill and relaxed. All of them are members of the LDS church too so it was funny when the main singer kept making references and shout outs to the stakes and sayin his goal is to get married in the temple and calling us brothers and sisters LOL...It was crack up!!!!!

The next day Finau, Ana, Krystal, and I went to town. We were gonna go to their town concert but Ana had to work so we came home. It was good though because I was so tired I came home and slept for 12 hours straight. So now when we go NZ we have friends to show us around. Thanks for the good times UsO CReW!! Manuia le aso sa!!! yeaaaaaa

The LAST GENERATION

So with the grand opening of "HA: Breath of Life" last night it's officially over. The TOFISA boyz ERA has come and gone. Now everybody just has to learn every dance, the entire show so they can go wherever they're needed so there's no longer gonna be a hamata/tofisa thing goin. This week there was a community preview of the new show but since I've seen it so often now I know it backwards and forwards. They've been tweaking different things here and there and it's getting better. The new show is ALL anybody talks about in the admin offices where I'm working right now. There's positive but also negative, quite a bit of negative things they're saying but I understand where they're coming from. With the new show there's a new storyline told partly thru animations and some things you just can't follow and it can be hard to understand especially if you haven't seen it a million times like us. Anyway I don't wanna post my opinion about it cos I don't wanna add to all the hype going around. Just go see it for yourself and if you like it, you like it and if you don't, you don't there isn't anything anybody can really do about it. The main thing I came on here to do was post a picture the "TOFISA BOYZ" took last night. So all that's left to say is TOFA SOIFUA.......

Last night Finau & I went with Via and her kids to ICE PALACE to go ice skating. I decided to buy some ice skates for Finau so he could go around a couple times. The first time he just cried and cried and when I tried to pick him up to comfort him the guy yelled at me so we had to keep dragging him to the exit lol...so sad....but after a few times he loved it. He acted like an expert! Here's a couple videos we took of him skating. He is way cute!

Finau's been a busy man lately

1) He watches his dad play with fire and introduce him to his Samoan side

2) He hangs out with the night show crew like he's one of them.
(He use to be the baby for the night show but poor Lupi, the one in the front left, plays the mum now and I don't think she can carry him lol)

3) He watches his dad dance the new night show at PCC "HA: BREATH OF LIFE" pretty much every night since it started

4) He hangs out with apostles like Elder Dallin H. Oaks!

5) He supports Utah State according to the people that bought him these: "He BLEEDS RED FOR UTAH STATE not BLUE FOR BYU" and hangs out with our favorite Ah Chee/Fiaui Family

6) He paints himself up and poses for the camera

7) And continues forever and ever and ever....

8) He paints pictures

9) He paints his mixed color masterpieces

7) He already knows how to sign his name for when he gets famous

8) He loves, loves, loves to paint

9) But he loves painting himself even more

10) He has his own breathing machine since he's been so sick and has to take medication for his wheezing

11) And he likes it lol...not really but it does make him relax & breathe better

12) He plays video games with his daddy

13) He takes pictures with his favorite babysitter "aunt pretty"

14) He multi-tasks by doing the splits, hanging up some pictures with his hammer, and practices his "blue steel" modeling looks

15) He's quite the ladies man & hangs out with ALL the girls in TVA & EVERY time he goes outside they scream his name and come running

16) He hangs out with all the tongan girls at concessions and they feed him and carry him around everywhere so mum can have a well deserved break!!
